Gary William Farvour, age 69, of Green Lake, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his home, with his family by his side, after a long battle with Cancer. Gary was born on June 24, 1947 in Milwaukee, the son of Edgar and Beulah (Withers) Farvour. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1966-1970, during the Vietnam Era.
Gary was united in marriage to Carol Bauman on February 20, 1976 in Milwaukee. He worked as a Radiologic Technologist at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee and Hayward Memorial Hospital. He loved spending time with his family and dogs. He loved living in the Green Lake areas as well living in Hayward. He enjoyed fishing at the local lakes and rivers as well as swimming at the YMCA. He loved spending family time at home and on vacation. He also took pride in dressing “sharp”.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol; two sons: Nathan (Cody) Farvour of Sheboygan and Seth Farvour of Green Lake and Thailand; two grandchildren: Stella and Franklin Farvour; five siblings: Darlene Klingman of Milwaukee, Tina (Robert) Wichner of Mendota Heights, MN, Rodney Farvour of Milwaukee; Wayne (Cindy) Farvour of Colgate, WI, and Brian Farvour of Milwaukee; other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Farvour.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Gary at 12:00PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas St, Ripon with Full Military Honors to follow. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00AM until the time of the celebration.
