Gene Maurice Kimble, age 64, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. Gene was born on February 14, 1954 at Ripon Municipal Hospital, the son of Maurice and Lorraine (Siedschlag) Kimble.
Gene was baptized in 1954 at County Line Lutheran Church in Markesan and confirmed at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He graduated from Ripon High School, Class of 1972 and then studied Music and Visual Arts at UW- Eau Claire. Gene served his country in the United States Army from 1980-1984.
On June 12, 1977, Gene was united in marriage to Neva Kantorowicz in Ripon until 1996 and had two children, Lane and Paige Kimble. During 1998, he was united in marriage to Victoria Pflueger in Berlin until 2009.
Gene was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and loved being in the outdoors fishing and hunting. A passion of his throughout his life was photography.
Gene is survived by his son, Lane (Danelle) Kimble of Rhinelander; daughter, Paige (Matthew Brough) Kimble of Glasgow, Scotland; two grandsons: Ethan and Lucas Kimble; three sisters: Patricia (Charles) Damaske of Watertown, Kathleen (Roger) Frei of Fairwater, and Cynthia (Bruce) Beier of Ripon; special friend, Elaine Simmons; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held for Gene at 12:00PM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon with full military honors. Friends and family may visit at the Funeral Home on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 10:00AM until the time of the services.
