Mona I. Olson: May 17, 1936 - June 24, 2015

Mona I. Olson, age 79, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on May 17, 1936 in Janesville, WI the daughter of Albert and Hilda (Makau) Stubbe. Mona was united in marriage to Clarence Bacon, until he preceded her in death. On November 27, 1982, she was united in marriage to Phil Olson at Ripon Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2010.


Mona worked at Speed Queen for many years until she retired. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, boat rides, camping and being with her family. She made blankets and loved watching the Packers.


She is survived by two sons: Eugene (Annette) Bacon of Omro, WI and David (Judi) Bacon of Larned, KS; three daughters: Gail (Merlin) Prutzman of Coloma, WI, Christine (Allen) Person of Madison, WI, and Nancy (Kelly) Jourdan of Ripon; brother, Stanley (Pat) Stubbe of Nekoosa, WI; two sisters: Joyce (special friend, Frank) Yustus of Wisconsin Rapids, and Pat Nelson of Big Flats, WI; sister-in-law, Laura Stubbe of Adams Friendship, WI; 9 grandchildren: Alex Bacon, James Prutzman, Jeremy Bielmeier, Missy Hernlund, Vicki (special friend, Kyle) Person, Jason (Alicia) Czlapinski, Joe (special friend, Cassie) Bacon, Josh (Britany) Jacobs and RJ Deibert; 18 great grandchildren; and very special friends: Tom Navin and Diane Goedon. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clarence Bacon, her second husband, Phil Olson, and two brothers: Albert “Jr” Stubbe and Rodger Stubbe.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00PM until the time of the services. Burial will be held in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
