Wynn Marsh Olsen, age 69, of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Wynn was born on November 9, 1948 in American Fork, UT, the son of Willis and Faye (Marsh) Spafford. At the age of five, he moved to Wisconsin with his parents Faye and Einar Olsen. He attended Ripon High School, Class of 1967. He then attended UW-Stevens Point for a year and received an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Moraine Park Technical College. On June 27, 1970, Wynn was united in marriage to Dianne Luebke of Winneconne.
Wynn was employed with Condon Oil Company for 45 years retiring in December of 2017. He was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon where he previously served on the church council and a member of the Winchester Hill Golf Club. He enjoyed the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers but his passion was golf.
Wynn is survived by his wife, Dianne; daughter, Kari Krause of New London; son, Steve (Megan) Olsen of Appleton; grandchildren: Keegan and Maya Krause, Owen and Elliott Olsen; brothers: George Olsen, Jesse (Holly) Spafford, Randy (Roxanne) Spafford and Ryan (Kelly) Spafford; sister, Sherry (Buzz) Johnson; brother-in-law, Jim (Sherry) Luebke; sisters-in-law: Sharon (Jon) Jordan; Annette (Kelly) Gross and Amy (David) Hart; aunts: Kathryn Marsh and Sharon Marsh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Einar and Faye Olsen, Willis and Leola Spafford; sister, Betty Riley; grandparents; in-laws, Henry (Dorothy) Luebke; sister-in-law, Joyce Olsen; Uncle and Aunt Clinton and Margene Marsh, Uncle Lorin Marsh and Uncle Marvin Marsh.
A Visitation for Wynn will be held from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street in Ripon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Mount Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Sheppard officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Burial will be held in Reeds Corners Bethel Cemetery in Ripon, WI.
